Resource Scheduling and Request Policy

This calendar allows you to electronically request, reserve, and review resources made available by the Steans Center. Resources are intended for use by the University Community and others affiliated with the Steans Center. For correspondence regarding a reservation, a valid contact and e-mail address must be provided. Once a resource has been approved we will put forth our best effort to uphold the reservation, but reserve the right to deny or alter a reservation. Building hours, University Holidays, accessibility and other circumstances may impede access to particular resources. Please be sure to make arrangements with a staff person.

Van Use Policy

Below are the rules that must be strictly adhered to when using this vehicle. Submittal of a request for van usage will be considered a confirmation that you understand and will adhere to these rules.

The Steans Van may only be reserved for university related business. The nature of that university business must be detailed or your request will not be approved. Steans Center business takes priority over all other requests. Drivers must have a valid drivers license. No persons under the age of 21 are to drive the van. Drivers must complete a Drivers Safety Training (see link in links section) and submit it to DePaul University's Treasurer's office. Once the driver has been approved, then and only then are they eligible to use university owned vehicles. All approved drivers must attend a Driver's Safety class (see link in links section) sponsored by the Safety Office prior to van usage. No smoking or alcohol use is allowed on the van. Keys must be picked up and/or returned on the date the van is scheduled for use.
Any tickets or other charges incurred during use, will be charged back to the department.

The van should be parked in Lot E (Belden and Seminary) in the reserved parking section only. Please return it to the reserved space when your reservation is over. The use of the Steans van is a privilege, so please treat it with respect. In case of an emergency please call ACE Rent a Car, Inc. at 847.297.3350 (Open 24 hours)
