Faculty

The Steans Center works to support faculty in the development, administration, and teaching of courses that integrate the service-learning pedagogy. Professional staff, who are also part-time faculty and practitioners of the methodology, provide individualized consultation on the planning of courses and offer quarterly workshops focused specifically on reflective practice as a tool for service-learning integration. The center also offers an annual service-learning institute, a 2-day intensive workshop on developing and teaching community-based and academically rigorous service-learning courses.
